Introduction
Use this guide to import your data from Zendesk
Prerequisites
Ensure you have admin access to both your Zendesk and Richpanel accounts.
1. Head over to the import wizard
Head over to Settings → Helpdesk Importer (inside Installation)
2. Select Zendesk
3. Add your Zendesk subdomain and API key
Zendesk subdomain: is the url you use to login to Zendeks
Email you use for login: The email you use for logging in to Zendesk (must be an admin user)
API Token: See instructions below on how to generate an API token.
To generate an API token in Zendesk
- In Admin Center, click Apps and integrations in the sidebar, then select APIs > Zendesk API.
- Click the Add API token button to the right of Active API tokens.
- (Optional) Enter an API token description like “Richpanel Importer”
The token is generated and displayed.
4. Select import duration
Select the data you want to import and the time period. We recommend selecting “Full import” and checking all boxes:
- Users and Teams
- Tags
- Macros
- Conversations & messages
