Introduction
Use this guide to import your data from Help Scout
Prerequisites
Ensure you have admin access to both your Gorgias and Richpanel accounts.
1. Head over to the Import Wizard
Head over to Settings → Helpdesk Importer (inside Installation)
2. Choose Help Scout
3. Add your Help Scout App Name, App ID and App Secret
(Refer the instructions below to generate these.)
Follow these steps to create an app in Help Scout
- Log in to your Help Scout account (with admin access)
- Navigate to your profile by clicking on your avatar in the top-right corner.
- Click on “My Apps” from the left menu
- Click on “Create My App”
- For App Name put “Importer” for redirection url, give your website url starting https://…
- Copy App ID, App Secret and App Name to Richpanel
4. Select import duration
Select the data you want to import and the time period. We recommend selecting “Full import” and checking all boxes:
- Users and Teams
- Tags
- Macros
- Conversations & messages
