Auto-forward from Microsoft 365 to Richpanel
Setting up email forwarding from Microsoft 365 to Richpanel allows you to automatically forward incoming emails to your Richpanel support inbox
Prerequisites
- Admin access to your Richpanel account.
- Admin access to your Microsoft 365 account.
- The email address you want to forward must belong to an active Microsoft 365 mailbox
Steps to forward emails from Microsoft 365 to Richpanel
Step 1: Enable External Forwarding in Microsoft 365
Microsoft 365 may block external forwarding by default. To enable it:
- Log in to Microsoft 365 Admin Center:
- Go to Microsoft Admin Center and sign in with admin credentials.
- Modify Outbound Spam Policy:
- Log in to Microsoft 365 Defender as an administrator and navigate to:
- Select Anti-Spam Outbound Policy (Default) and scroll down to click the Edit Protection Settings link at the bottom of the sidebar.
- If you don’t see the options or policies listed, it means the Microsoft 365 account lacks admin permissions. Ensure you're logged in with an admin account. Note that the policies shown may differ from your own, as these are default settings.

Step 2: Set Up Forwarding for a Specific Mailbox
- Access the Mailbox Settings:
- In the Admin Center, go to Users > Active Users.
- Select the user whose emails you want to forward.
- Enable Email Forwarding:
- Under Mail Settings, click Email Forwarding.
- Turn on forwarding and enter your Richpanel forwarding address (e.g., support@yourcompany@richpanel.com).
- (Optional) Choose whether to keep a copy of emails in the original mailbox.
- Save Changes:
- Save the updated settings.
Step 3: Configure the Forwarding Address in Richpanel
- Log in to Richpanel.
- Navigate to Settings > Channels > Email.
- Add and verify the forwarding email address.
- Save the configuration and test the setup by sending a test email.
Step 4: Test and Confirm the Setup
- Send a test email to the Microsoft 365 mailbox.
- Check if the forwarded email appears in Richpanel’s inbox.
